People in Barking and Dagenham came together to remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and learn lessons for their own community in the Town Square on 10th July. The event was organised by Barking and Dagenham Council with Barking and Dagenham Faith Forum.
On Saturday, thousands gathered in Kozarac for the funeral of 86 Bosnian Muslims killed by Serbs in one of the worst Bosnian War atrocities in Aug 92 where some 200 Bosnian Muslims & Croats from Prijedor were executed at the Korićani Cliffs on Mt. Vlašić.
We remember Mother Hatidža Mehmedović who passed away a year ago on this day. She was the beating heart of our organisation & a truly remarkable woman who fought tirelessly for justice & against those who sought to rewrite the facts of history. Her legacy will never be forgotten.
