Remembering Srebrenica's work in creating Community Champions is having a big impact across the country. Here we illustrate how this happens.

organisers

Remembering Srebrenica has 1,350 Community Champions across the UK. Most of these have been delegates on our “Lessons from Srebrenica” programme who have returned to the UK and pledged to educate people about the genocide in Bosnia and what we can learn from it to build stronger, more cohesive communities. As volunteers, they do amazing work and we are extremely proud of what they achieve. Without them Remembering Srebrenica could not have the impact we do, so we’d like to highlight a few examples of their work.

Remembering Srebrenica was founded in April 2013, thanks to our dedicated Community Champions and valued supporters we have achieved:

This Friday's #RSUKBookClub recommendation is "The Bosnia List" where a young survivor confronts the people who betrayed his family during the Bosnian Genocide. A heartbreaking read that is all the more important for it.
