Chair – Mashuda Shaikh
Mashuda Shaikh currently works for Kirklees Council as a Faith and Community Integration Manager. Her aim is to build resilience within communities and nurture a proud sense of identity, improve community spirit and increase connections between people.
She has a passion for people and communities, working on Interfaith relations and building durable peace through creative processes. She has been involved with Remembering Srebrenica since 2014 when she went on one of the first delegations to Srebrenica, which led to the first-ever commemoration event in Yorkshire. She has continued to lead the work in Kirklees to ensure we remember, learn and continue to tackle all forms of hatred in our communities.
