Join us at Westminster Abbey

We have a limited number of places available for people to join us at Westminster Abbey, London, to mark this year’s 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

Westminster Abbey

Hundreds of specially-invited guests will gather for A Solemn Commemoration for Srebrenica Memorial Day at noon on Monday 6 July.

Organised by Remembering Srebrenica, the memorial service will be attended by genocide survivors and Srebrenica mothers who lost husbands, sons, fathers and brothers in the atrocity.

It will see 20 candles lit and dedicated to the memory of genocide victims. The service will commemorate the 8,372 men and boys massacred in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica in July 1995, during the Balkans conflict of 1992 to 1995.

Proceedings will also reflect on the lessons of Srebrenica in the 20th anniversary year of the genocide, and look with hope to the reconciliation of peoples and faiths.

For the opportunity to join us, simply click on the Eventbrite link below to apply for your tickets for the service:

'I hope the soldiers who loaded the ammunition are tormented by the screams of the women and the cries of the children they killed'. Reaction after the VRS shelled a school in Srebrenica on this day 28 years ago.

Today, we remember the victims.
